Road Construction to Begin Later this Summer on North Fork Clearwater Corridor

Road construction work is planned for an 18-mile section road on the North Fork Clearwater this summer.

According to a press release, in late July or early August, contractors will begin work on reconstruction of Forest Service Road 250 on the North Fork of the Clearwater River from the Bungalow Ranger Station site to Kelly Forks Work Center.

Road work is anticipated to last until late October and visitors should anticipate delays of up to 3 hours with open periods lasting for 30 minutes.

The road is heavily used by recreationists who come for fishing, hunting, hiking, and other outdoor recreation.

According to the release, the road work will improve drivability and drainage and will consist of 18 miles of reconstruction. During the project, the road will be open from 6 PM until 7 AM, on holidays and on weekends.
