The jury trial for the man accused of murdering four University of Idaho students in 2022 is now set to begin June 2, 2025.
According to a scheduling order filed by Latah County District Judge John Judge, the trial for Bryan Kohberger is expected to run until Aug. 29, 2025.
Kohberger faces four counts of first-degree murder and one count of burglary in the November 2022 stabbing deaths of University of Idaho students Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen, Xana Kernodle and Ethan Chapin.
The trial is scheduled to take place at the Latah County Courthouse, but Kohberger’s defense is expected to argue for a change of venue later this summer. If that motion is granted, the court anticipates the trial dates will not change.
Kohberger faces the death penalty if convicted.
