Mariners Road Woes Continue in Loss to Rays

Ben Rortvedt had two hits, including a homerun and drove in 4 runs and the Tampa Bay Rays beat the Seattle Mariners 11-3 last (Tue) night in Tampa.

Ty France and Mitch Garver both homered for Seattle, and combined for 3 of the M’s 6 hits.

Luis Castillo took the loss. The Seattle righthander allowed 4 runs on 5 hits with 4 walks and 4 strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings.

The Mariners wrap up their 9-game road trip and look to avoid a sweep today (Wed). First pitch is set for 9:10 a.m. from Tropicana Field with live coverage in the LC Valley on 95.5 FM and AM 950 KOZE and in the upper Clearwater Valley on AM 1300 KLER.
