
The Lochsa River and upper Salmon River will open to summer chinook fishing June 20.
The Idaho Fish and Game Commission approved the seasons this week.

Chinook Salmon
The Lochsa River will be open seven days per week and anglers will be allowed to catch both hatchery and wild chinook. The harvest share is estimated to be about 200 adult chinook.
The upper Salmon River will be open from the mouth of Valley Creek at Stanley to the Sawtooth Hatchery Weir.
Fishing will be allowed Thursdays through Sundays. The upper Salmon River harvest share is around 260 adult fish and anglers must release wild chinook.
Bag limits on both rivers will be four chinook per day with a maximum of two adults.
