A Lewiston man has been sentenced to three years of probation for assaulting a woman.
28-year-old Jonathon Couch was sentenced for felony aggravated assault last week in Lewiston’s 2nd District Court as part of a plea agreement.
He was also sentenced to serve 34 days in jail and given credit for time served as well as paying $2,385.50 in court costs and fees.
Couch was also given a withheld judgment, which means that if he completes his probation the case can be dismissed.
Couch signed the plea agreement Feb. 6. He was initially charged with rape but the charges were amended to aggravated assault.
