
ELK RIVER, ID – The Idaho State Police says a 55-year-old Juliaetta man was seriously injured when the 2020 Polaris General UTV he was riding in struck a deer and overturned. A press release states that a 26-year-old Lewiston man was driving the vehicle when the collision happened at around 1:00 a.m. this morning on State Highway 8, about seven miles west of Elk River.
“The passenger was transported to the hospital via air ambulance. Evidence was found on scene to indicate that drugs and/or alcohol may have been involved in this crash,” ISP says.
This incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police. The agency does not release names of those involved
