Warrior Baseball Ranked No. 5 in Final Top 25

The LC State Baseball team will enter the national tournament as the fifth-ranked team in the NAIA. The final edition of the top 25 was released on Wednesday.

 

The Warriors (37-11, 21-3) captured the regular season title in the Cascade Conference before falling to Bushnell in the tournament title game. Both will compete in an Opening Round. LC State will host an NAIA Opening Round, presented by Avista, at Harris Field May 13-16.

 

LC State ranks seventh nationally in doubles (127) and 15th in extra-base hits (205). The Warriors are 17th in ERA (4.44) and led the CCC in slugging (.496), RBI (66), doubles, home runs (66) and walks (238). LC State was the top pitching team led the conference in ERA, wins (37) and batters struck out looking (138).

 

Drake George and Shane Spencer shared CCC Pitcher of the Year honors. George, Spencer, Dominic Signorelli, Jake Gish, Carter Booth and Brandon Cabrera earned All-Cascade Conference honors while Signorelli and Nick Seamons earned CCC Gold Gloves. Jake Taylor was named the conference Coach of the Year.
