Three Warriors Earn All-CCC Honors as LC State Men Place Second

Alex Navarro and Bryden Brown wrapped up the Cascade Conference Golf Championships, presented by U.S. Bank, tied with each other for fourth place in the 45-person field. The LC State men placed second as a team.

 

Oscar Behle also finished in the top 10 with a tie for eighth place. The junior carded the best round by a Warrior in the tournament with a 4-under, 68 with six birdies on Wednesday to move up in the standings with a tournament total of 220.

 

Navarro, Brown and Behle earned All-Cascade Conference honors with scoring averages in the top 10 during CCC play. Navarro was fourth in the conference at 73.0, Brown was fifth at 73.1 and Behle was ninth at 74.4.

 

“Although we couldn’t get the job done today, I am proud of the way we fought,” Head Coach Zach Anderson said. “This year was a big learning experience for us. We will be back and better next year.”

 

Brown shot a 1-over, 73 with birdies on Nos. 5, 11 and 16 for a three-round total of 213. Navarro’s 2-over, 74 was highlighted by birdies on Nos. 6, 11 and 17 to bring his total to 213.

 

Hunter Millsap tied for 19th with a round of 3-over, 75 on Wednesday. He shot 228 over the tournament.

 

No. 6 UBC won the team and individual titles after the Thunderbirds fired off a round of 272 on Wednesday. Dylan Macdonald won medalist honors with a three-round total of 208.
