Austin Riley had two hits, including a two-run triple and the Atlanta Braves beat the Seattle Mariners 5-2 yesterday to avoid being swept in the series.
Julio Rodriguez had three hits and Jorge Polanco added two hits and two runs-batted-in for the Mariners.
Emerson Hancock took the loss. The Seattle righthander allowed 5 runs, only 1 of which was earned, on 5 hits with 4 walks and 4 strikeouts in 3 2/3 innings.
The Mariners travel to Houston for a three-game weekend series beginning tomorrow (Fri) night at Minute Maid Park.
