Garver Goes Deep as Mariners Walk-Off in Win Over Braves

Mitch Garver’s two-run homer lifted the Seattle Mariners to a walk-off 2-1 win over the Atlanta Braves last night in the opening game of a three-game series at T-Mobile Park.

The game was scoreless through the first six innings when the Braves took the lead on an RBI double by Ozzie Albies in the 7th.

Bryce Miller pitched well again but got a no decision. The M’s righthander allowed a run on just 2 hits with 10 strikeouts over 7 innings. Austin Voth picked up his first win with an inning of one-hit relief.

Game two of the three-game series is set for 6:40 tonight (Tue) from T-Mobile Park with live coverage in the LC Valley on 95.5 FM and AM 950 KOZE and in the upper Clearwater Valley on AM 1300 KLER.
