Diamondbacks Avoid Sweep in Win Over Mariners

Christian Walker had two hits, including a homerun and former Mariners Eugenio Suarez and Ketel Marte each recorded run scoring doubles and the Arizona Diamondbacks avoided being swept with a 3-2 win over the Seattle Mariners yesterday (Sun) at T-Mobile Park.

Josh Rojas homered for the Mariners.

On the mound, Logan Gilbert pitched well but got a no decision. The Seattle righthander allowed 2 runs on 4 hits with 9 strikeouts over 6 1/3 innings.

The Mariners continue their homestand with another 3-game interleague series with the Atlanta Braves beginning tonight (Mon).

The first game of the series gets underway at 6:40 tonight (Mon) with live coverage in the LC Valley on 95.5 FM and AM 950 KOZE and in the upper Clearwater Valley on AM 1300 KLER.
