Idaho State Police are investigating a fatality crash that occurred on U.S. Highway12 near milepost 54 east of Greer last (Thur) night.
According to an ISP news release, a blue Nissan Sentra, driven by a 32-year-old woman from Lewiston, was traveling westbound at 7:43 p.m. when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree. The unidentified woman was pronounced deceased on scene. An unidentified 40-year-old male passenger from Orofino was transported to an area hospital with unspecified injuries. Neither occupant was wearing a seat belt.
The road was blocked for about 2.5 hours.
