Schneider Leads Blue Jays Past Mariners

Davis Schneider had two hits and two runs-batted-in and Vlad Guerrero Jr. added two hits and an RBI as the Toronto Blue Jays beat the Seattle Mariners 5-2 in the opening game of their three-game series yesterday (Mon) in Toronto.

Jose Berrios improved to 2-0 on the year – allowing no runs on 4 hits with 6 strikeouts over 6 2/3 innings.

J.P. Crawford and Cal Raleigh both homered for the M’s.

Seattle starter Luis Castillo fell to 0-3 – giving up 4 earned runs on 9 hits with 6 strikeouts over 5 innings.
