Warrior Women’s Basketball Adds Second Signee to Incoming Class

unnamed-2-24

Head Coach Caelyn Orlandi announced the signing of the second incoming freshman for the 2024-25 season in Buckley, Wash., native Bella Firnkoess. The Enumclaw High School product will join the Warrior women in the fall.

“We are so excited to be signing our second student-athlete for our class of 2024,” Orlandi said. “Bella brings a special offensive skill set to our team for next season. She has great touch around the basket, can step and hit the jumper and can attack off the dribble extremely well. She has length and athleticism and has a knack for rebounding the basketball. She nearly averaged four offensive rebounds a game for her high school team. Bella is in the right place at the right time and we truly look forward to adding another rebounder to our squad.”

Firnkoess averaged 14.2 points and 8.7 rebounds per game for the Hornets and was recently named the league’s MVP. The 5-11 forward helped the team to a pair of league titles and is a three-time first-team all-league honoree. She was also all-league in volleyball and tennis.

“Bella has the ability to get her hands on the basketball for deflections and has great timing to block shots,” Orlandi added. “She has a feel for the game and we are looking forward to what she is going to bring to the court next season. Not only can Bella play basketball, but she is a fantastic student as well.”

The incoming freshman earned the school’s scholar-athlete award and was named the Enumclaw Rotary Student of the Month. She is also a member of the National Honor Society.

“Coach Moscrip was a huge part of getting Bella here to campus and I know our assistant coach has a knack for finding good players,” Orlandi said.

Firnkoess joins Kendall Wallace as part of the 2024 class of signees.
