District Judge Adam Green sentenced Keith Sarbacher to a period of fourteen years in the Idaho State Prison with parole eligibility after three years. The sentence relates to his role in a July 2022 incident along U.S. Highway 12 in Lewis County where Sarbacher fled from a Lewis County deputy while also in possession of a stolen UTV.

During the pursuit, the Lewis County deputy was struck from the rear by a second vehicle, crashing and rolling the deputy’s patrol vehicle.

Sarbacher’s sentence is the third sentence in relation to the case. Lucas Hancock, the driver of the ramming vehicle, was sentenced to twenty-two and a half years with parole eligibility after seven and a half, and Shyla Chapman, the passenger in the ramming vehicle was sentenced to five years with parole eligibility after three.
