Three people escaped a house fire Saturday morning in Clarkston.
According to a news release, crews responded to the blaze at 1990 Golfview Drive near the Red Wolf Golf Course just before 11 a.m. The fire was extinguished in about 20 minutes and crews remained on the scene for another two hours checking for hot spots. There were no injuries reported.
A husband, wife and their adult son escaped the flames, but the home sustained extensive damage and left it unfit for occupancy.
The cause of the fire, which started in a basement bedroom, is under investigation.
