CLARKSTON, WA – Following several months of investigation, detectives from the Quad Cities Drug Task Force arrested a suspected drug trafficker in Clarkston this afternoon. Detectives had been actively monitoring the subject’s activities, which led to obtaining a search warrant for the individual and his vehicle.

“Detectives observed the individual driving earlier in the day and believed he was in possession of fentanyl at that time. Coordinating with local LE agencies, to include Lewiston PD, Clarkston PD, WSP and Asotin County, officers conducted a traffic stop just west of Clarkston on HWY 12. During the execution of the warrant, detectives located and seized what is believed to be approximately 3000 fentanyl pills and a loaded firearm which was determined to be stolen,” a press release says.

As a result, 38-year-old Justin W. Hoffman of Clarkston was booked into the Asotin County Jail on a felony charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver Fentanyl. Hoffman is also a convicted Felon.

The Quad Cities Drug Task Force is partially funded by the U.S. Department of Justice Bureau of Justice Assistance to combat narcotics distribution in Southeastern Washington and Western Idaho Counties.
