The Washington State University men’s basketball team is a #7 seed in the upcoming NCAA Basketball Tournament and will face #10 Seed Drake in the first round Thursday in Omaha.
The Cougars, who finished second in the Pac-12 regular season, are 24-9, and will appear in the Big Dance for the first time in 16 years. Drake is 28-6 and has qualified for the tournament for 3rd time in 4 year.
Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. Thursday with coverage on TruTv.
Meanwhile, the Gonzaga men are a #5 seed and will meet #12 seed McNeese State Thursday afternoon in Salt Lake City.
The Bulldogs are 25-7 overall after falling to St. Mary’s in the West Coast Conference Tournament Championship game. The Cowboys are 30-3 overall and has won 11 straight games.
