A Clarkston man has been found guilty of first-degree attempted murder this (Thur) afternoon by a jury at the in Nez Perce County Courthouse.
58-year-old Robert LaPlante was convicted for the July 14 incident in North Lewiston when he used a knife and high-lift jack to cut and beat the victim, Loyal Otis Dickson Jr..
The trial began Monday and the jury was handed the case late this (Thur) morning, before returning the guilty verdict less than two hours after closing statements by both the prosecution and defense.
