NEW ORLEANS, LA – The Warrior Women’s Track and Field team will enter the 2024 NAIA Indoor Track and Field National Championships as the No. 14 team in the USTFCCCA ratings. LC State is ranked in the top 10 of the NAIA in six events and in the top five of three. The Warriors totaled 71.46 points in the latest edition of the rating index, which does not include the marks hit at the EOU Last Chance Invite.

Geraldin Correa holds the top time in the NAIA in the 800m (2:12.84) heading into the national meet and Madigan Kelly is fourth in the 60m hurdles (8.49). Defending NAIA National Champion Jennah Carpenter cleared a height of 1.73m to match her mark last season at nationals. The mark ranks third in the NAIA this season. She is the No. 8 seed in the pentathlon (3,296 points) heading into the meet.

Sydnie Zywina improved on both of her jumps over the weekend and holds A standards in the triple jump (12.03m) and long jump (5.65m). Both rank in the NAIA’s top 10, and Carpenter is 13th in the long jump with a B standard of 5.61m.

Emily Collins added an A standard to the list with a time of 1:35.71 (converted) at the EOU Invite. She ranks 14th in the NAIA in the event.
