Sydnie Zywina dominated jumping events at the EOU Last Chance Invite on Saturday en route to another Rize Laboratory Cascade Conference Women’s Field Athlete of the Week honor.
The junior from Orofino, Idaho, broke two of her own LC State records to win both events to close out the regular season. She reached a distance of 12.03m in the triple jump, which ranks seventh in the NAIA, and 5.65m in the long jump, which ranks ninth in the NAIA. Both are A standards ahead of indoor nationals.
This is the third weekly honor of Zywina’s career and second this season.
