
Washington State University’s Myles Rice has been named the Pac-12 Men’s Basketball Freshman of the Week for the third-consecutive week and sixth time this year.

Rice became the first freshman in WSU history to earn three-straight weekly honors, and just the third in Pac-12 history. The Columbia, S.C. native is now the most decorated freshman in program history, surpassing current Atlanta Hawks rookie Mouhamed Gueye who picked up five Conference nods in 2021-22.
Rice led the Cougs to a road sweep of Oregon State and Oregon for the first time since 2008-09, scoring 21 points with a career-high nine rebounds in the win over Oregon on Saturday. Against the Beavers, Rice dominated ball control with six assists and four rebounds.
Washington State returns to the Palouse to host California, Thursday at 7 p.m. inside the Beasley Coliseum in Pullman.
