LEWISTON, ID – A longtime Nez Perce County Sheriff’s deputy who recently retired has been diagnosed with end-stage kidney disease. To raise funds for Patrick Santos and his family, Back the Blue Lewiston & Clarkston, Inc. is holding a firearm raffle.

“Over the last week, Pat has found himself in the care of hospital staff when he was hospitalized with end stage kidney disease. Pat has been in the care of the Kootenai Health staff while he begins the process of dialysis. He is expected to be released from the hospital any day and will begin recovery. His new life will entail dialysis treatments three days a week for the rest of his life,” the group says.

“There will be costs associated with travel of medical bills incurred by the family, changes to Pat’s house to assist in his recovery, and lost wages for being out of work,” Back the Blue adds.
