Greenbelt Boat Ramp Closed Due to Safety Concerns; Vandalism Closes Evans Pond, Golf Course Pond, & Asotin Slough

CLARKSTON, WA  – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Walla Walla District has closed the Greenbelt Boat Ramp day-use area in Clarkston to vehicle and pedestrian traffic until further notice. The ramp was closed due to safety concerns for Corps staff and the local community.

Additionally, the Evans Pond, Golf Course Pond, and Asotin Slough day-use areas have been closed due to vandalism.

Walla Walla District day-use areas within the Lewiston-Clarkston Valley are generally open from 7:30 a.m. to sunset unless otherwise posted. Camping, habitation, or overnight stays are not permitted within day-use areas. The use of tents and other constructs is also banned. Abandoned or cached property left within day-use areas after operating hours will be subject to removal. Failure to abide by these and other posted rules will subject offenders to removal and citations.
