Idaho gas prices are below the $3 mark for the first time since March 2021.
According to the American Automobile Association, today’s average price for a gallon of regular in Idaho is $2.97, which is eight cents less than a week ago, 30 cents less than a month ago, and 43 cents cheaper than a year ago. Meanwhile, the national average sits at $3.08 per gallon, which is a penny more than a week ago, a nickel less than a month ago, and 34 cents less than a year ago.
Idaho’s eight-cent drop was the second largest in the country this week, and our state currently ranks 25th in the U.S. for most expensive fuel.
Motorists in Pocatello continue to pay the lowest average price for a gallon of gas in Idaho at $2.45, while Lewiston has the state’s highest average price at $3.32.
