
The Lewiston Fire Department responded to a camp trailer fire Thursday night in the Orchards.
According to a news release, the fire was reported at around 8:45 p.m. at 1422 Linden Ave. When crews arrived, they found smoke and flames coming from the windows of the trailer.
The owner of the trailer was on the scene and verified there was no one was in the structure. Crews extinguished the fire and discovered the blaze was caused by a space heater being close to combustible materials.
No injuries were reported.
The trailer and its contents were a total loss, and damage was estimated at approximately $5,000.
