The annual Avista Holiday High School Basketball Tournaments begin this Thursday and run through Saturday at Lewis-Clark State College inside the P1FCU Activity Center.
Locally, the girl’s tournament features Lewiston, Clarkston, Moscow, Lapwai and Grangeville – along with Richland, Washington and Downey, California.
The boy’s tournament field includes, Lewiston, Clarkston, Moscow, Lapwai, and Kendrick, along with Meridian’s Rocky Mountain and the Downey, California boys team.
The tournament gets underway Thursday with the Lewiston girls meeting Grangeville at 9 a.m.
The Lewiston boys will then take on Kendrick at 10:30 a.m.
Both Bengals games will broadcast live in the LC Valley on The River 105.1 FM and streaming free online here.
Other games on Thursday’s schedule include: the Pendleton girls and Moscow at noon; the Pendleton boys and Moscow at 1:30 p.m.; the Lapwai girls face the Downey girls at 3 p.m.; the Lapwai boys square-off with the Downey boys at 4:30 p.m.; and in Thursday’s final two games, the Clarkston girls meet Richland at 6 p.m.; and the Clarkston boys face Rocky Mountain at 7:30 p.m.
