As the holiday season continues, the unfortunate reality for some across Idaho is that many festivities are abruptly cut short by the devastating impact of impaired driving.

According to a press release from the Idaho State Police, from December 13 through New Year’s Day, over 50 Idaho law enforcement agencies statewide will collaboratively engage in a national effort to remove impaired drivers from Idaho roadways. Officers will actively patrol to safeguard the holidays, preventing impaired drivers from ruining the holidays for their own safety and that of others.

Law enforcement agencies across the state urge the public to not consume alcohol and drive. Designate a sober driver or call a taxi or other ride share providers for safe rides home.
