The Washington State volleyball team topped Dayton 3-1 in the second-round of the NCAA tournament Saturday at Bohler Gym in Pullman.
Scores were 25-21, 25-15, 20-25, and 25-16 to put the #10 Cougars through to the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2018. They will now travel to face #4 Pittsburgh on Thursday in search of a spot in the national quarterfinals.
A win against Pittsburgh would put the Cougs through to the Elite Eight for the first time since 2002. Wazzu has never reached the NCAA semifinals.
