Maddie Holm led the way with 15 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists as the Lewis-Clark State women’s basketball team overcame 18 turnovers to beat Northwest University 79-71 last (Thur) night in both teams Cascade Conference opener.
Ellie Sander also scored 15 points and freshman Darian Herring added 9 rebounds and a game-high 5 blocked shots for the 8th ranked Warriors.
LC improves to 5-1 overall and will meet Evergreen State today (Fri) at noon.
Meanwhile, the Warrior men saw four players score in double figures in an 83-72 win over Northwest.
Senior transfer Jaedon Bradley led the way with 19 points and Davian Brown scored 18.
The Warriors made 8 three-point attempts and hit 23 of 27 free throws to improve to 3-4 overall.
The men will host Evergreen State this (Fri) afternoon following the women’s game.
