Lewis-Clark State College provost and vice president for academic affairs Fred Chilson, is a candidate for the presidency at Black Hills State University in South Dakota.
Chilson said in an email he is a finalist and will likely have an on-campus interview at the college in Spearfish, S.D., in mid-November.
Chilson, who has worked at LC State since 2018, said he was approached by a recruiter three times before he applied for the job.
