Crews Douse Lewiston Orchards Structure Fire

The Lewiston Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire at 3:30 p.m. yesterday (Thur) at 928 Warner Ave. #12. First arriving crews found the structure filled with smoke and everyone out of the home.

Crews attacked the fire with a pre-connected hose line and the fire was knocked down in about 10 minutes. Crews remained on scene for 90 minutes to check for hot spots and overhaul the structure.

The department responded with 3 structural engines, 3 ambulances, 3 chief officers and 1 fire inspector, totaling 19 personnel.

The estimated damage to the structure and contents is $75,000.

There were no injuries reported and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
