Clearwater Paper released its 2023 3rd quarter business report this week.
The company reported net sales of $520 million – down 3% from the 2022 3rd quarter.
Net income was $37 million – up $16 million versus the 3rd quarter of last year.
There was strong demand with 3rd quarter shipments of 13 million cases compared to 12.6 million in the 3rd quarter of 2022, and 12.8 million cases in the second quarter of this year.
The company also benefited from lower input costs in pulp, energy and freight compared with this year’s second quarter.
