St. Maries Woman Killed in Crash on State Highway 3

HARRISON, ID – The Idaho State Police is investigating a single-vehicle fatality collision that occurred just before 2:52 p.m. today in Kootenai County. The crash occurred on State Highway 3 near milepost 97.5, just north of Harrison.

“A 40 year old female, from St Maries, Idaho, was driving a black 2001 Toyota 4Runner, southbound on State Highway 3, when she left the roadway and entered the westbound ditch. The black 2001 Toyota 4Runner rolled after leaving the roadway. The driver of the 4Runner was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. The driver of the 4Runner was pronounced dead on-scene,” ISP says in a press release.

State Highway 3 was blocked for approximately 5-1/2 hours. Coeur d’Alene Tribal Police and Harrison Fire and EMS assisted with the crash which remains under investigation.
