
NEW PLYMOUTH, ID – The Idaho State Police is investigating a three-vehicle collision on Friday at 11:39 p.m. in Payette County. According to a press release, a 21-year-old Boise man was driving a 2005 Toyota 4Runner the wrong way in the eastbound lanes near milepost 7 on Interstate 84 when it struck an eastbound 2022 Dodge Ram pickup head-on.

A 59-year-old male from Mountain Home was driving a 2022 Dodge Ram 2500 eastbound, with three passengers: a 21-year-old female of Craigmont, 57-year-old male of Mountain Home, and a juvenile. The Toyota hit the Dodge head on.
A 28-year-old male from Ontario, Canada, was driving a 2023 Volvo semi eastbound when it rear ended the Dodge after the head on collision.
The drivers of the Toyota and Dodge were transported via air ambulance, and the passengers of the Dodge were transported via ground ambulance, all to local hospitals. The semi driver was not transported.
All occupants were wearing seat belts.
The eastbound lanes were blocked for approximately two and a half hours to allow emergency [personnel] to assist those on scene.
This incident remains under investigation by Idaho State Police.
