UPDATE: Crash on US 12 Near Lenore Injures Weippe Woman

LENORE, ID –  One person was transported to the hospital following a two-vehicle crash on US 12 near milepost 27 at around 2:03 p.m. this afternoon. The Idaho State Police and Nez Perce County Sheriff’s deputies, along with medics, responded to the crash outside of the Lenore Rest Area.

“A 68-year-old female from Weippe, Idaho, driving a 2017 Buick Enclave was preparing to leave the Lenore Rest Area. A 21-year-old male from Aberdeen, Washington, driving an Acura TL, was traveling westbound on US12. The driver of the Buick Enclave attempted to turn eastbound onto US12 from the rest area and failed to yield to westbound traffic, entering in front of the Acura and causing a crash. The driver of the Buick Enclave was transported via ground ambulance to a local hospital. One eastbound lane of US12 was blocked for the length of the crash investigation,” ISP says in a press release.

This incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
