Marcus Semien hit two of the Rangers’ six homeruns as Texas completed a three-game sweep over the Marines 9-8 yesterday (Sun) in Seattle.
Teoscar Hernandez homered and drove in two for the Mariners.
On the mound, Bryan Woo suffered the loss, falling to 4-5. The Seattle righthander allowed 6 runs on 5 hits with 6 strikeouts over 3 1/3 innings.
The Mariners are now 3 games out of first place in the American League West Division standings and are a half game behind Houston for an American League Wild Card playoff spot with seven games remaining in the regular season.
