Washington State University will hold a ceremonial groundbreaking on Friday for Schweitzer Engineering Hall, a state-of-the-art educational building on the Pullman campus, made possible by the generous support from private and public investments in the future of engineering and design education.
The event will launch the modernization of facilities at WSU’s Voiland College of Engineering and Architecture to meet student needs in learning, research, and support.
The groundbreaking ceremony and celebration are scheduled from 2-3 p.m. at the Green 3 Parking Lot at the corner of NE College Avenue and SE Spokane Street on the WSU Pullman campus.
Faculty, staff, students, alumni, and community members are invited to join WSU President Kirk Schulz in celebrating the occasion. Although the Green 3 parking lot will be closed to the public for the event, parking will be available at adjacent lots.
