Lewiston Man Found Guilty in Drug Trafficking Case

A Lewiston man has been convicted of trafficking methampetamine.

According to a press release from the Nez Perce County Prosecutors Office, after a two day jury trial in Nez Perce County District Court, 49-year-old Nickolas Jacobson was found guilty for trafficking methamphetamine.

Lewiston Police Officers conducted a traffic stop on Jacobson in 2018 and located recorded money from a controlled buy in his vehicle. Detectives then went to his residence and learned there were guns and drugs inside. When a search warrant was granted, the detectives discovered a large amount of drug paraphernalia, digital scales, pipes, baggies, and 600 grams of methamphetamine inside a safe.

Jacobson was arrested for drug trafficking of the nearly pound and a half of meth. Following the guilty verdict, District Court Judge Michelle Evans scheduled Jacobson for sentencing on November 16. The crime of Trafficking in Methamphetamine over 400 grams is 10 years to life in prison and a maximum fine of $100,000.
