Bengals Host Buckaroos Friday

The Lewiston High School football team hosts Pendleton in a non-conference game Friday night.

The Bengals are 1-2 after picking up their first win last week over Clarkston in the annual Battle of the Bridges game at Bengal Field.

The Buckaroos are 2-0 with both games decided by one score.

The LHS state champion football teams from 1993 and 1996 will be honored at halftime Friday.

Kick-off is set for 7 p.m. with pre-game coverage beginning at 6:40 in the LC Valley on The River 105.1 FM and streaming free online at bengalsports.com.

Meanwhile, Clarkston looks to rebound Friday as the Bantams host East Valley in their home opener at Adams Field. Asotin travels to Spokane Saturday for a game with Manson at Whitworth University’s Pinebowl.

In other high school action: Kamiah travels to Council; Deary hosts unbeaten Potlatch; Clearwater Valley buses to Lapwai; Moscow returns home for a non-conference game with Timberlake; Grangeville plays a road game at New Plymouth; Salmon River hosts Garden Valley in a Long Pin Conference tilt in Riggins; Garfield Palouse travels to DeSales; Pomeroy is home for a non-league game with Charlo, Montana; Colfax looks for its first win at home against Liberty; and Genesee plays in Moscow tomorrow against undefeated Logos.
