The Lewiston High School football team opens its season Saturday afternoon in Rexburg against Woods Cross High of Utah.
The Bengals are coming off their second straight Idaho State 5-A Playoff appearance after finishing last season with a 7-3 record.
Kick-off is set for 3 p.m. with pre-game coverage beginning at 2:40 in the LC Valley on The River 105.1 FM and streaming free online at bengalsports.com.
In other high school action this weekend: Two-time defending Idaho State 1-A Division II Champion Kendrick begins its quest for a 3-peat when the Tigers host Council Friday night. Elsewhere Friday – Clearwater Valley opens at home against Notus; Deary travels to Troy; Lapwai meets Timberline at home; and Moscow is in the Silver Valley to square-off with Kellogg.
On Saturday: Lewis County opens up at home against Salmon River and Logos buses to Plummer to take on Lakeside.
