The Winona Fire in Whitman County is now 90 percent contained.
According to a press release, the 2,500 acre is now in the mop-up stage following the completion of fire lines around burned areas, remaining structures and infrastructures.
A residence and 24 outbuildings were destroyed and one primary structure was damaged in the fire that was reported Friday afternoon. No injuries were reported.
All evacuation notices have been lifted and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
