The first-degree murder trial of a Winchester man charged with the 2021 shooting death of his former son-in-law in the Lewiston Rosauers parking lot gets underway today (Tue).
69-year-old James Brashear is charged in the shooting death of 40-year-old John Mast, of Williston, N.D., on Feb. 6, 2021. Mast was in a custody dispute for his children, Brashear’s grandchildren. Mast was also accused, but never charged, with abusing the children.
The trial is expected to last seven days.
