Active Shooter Training in Moscow on Thursday

MOSCOW, ID – A large-scale Active Shooter Training Scenario will be held at Moscow High School at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Members of the Moscow Police Department, Moscow Volunteer Fire Department, Moscow EMS, Moscow School District, Gritman Medical Center, and the Latah County Sheriff’s Office will be participating in the training.

“This training will include mock emergency responses from all involved agencies with multiple emergency vehicles including: police vehicles, fire vehicles, ambulances as well as School District busses. During this event, streets surrounding the Moscow High School will be closed temporarily. It is requested the public please avoid the area surrounding the high school so as not to potentially interrupt the training scenario,” a press release states.

Training organizers estimate the total time for the training scenario to be approximately one hour.
