
After weeks of slow and steady price drops, Idaho pump prices are rising again.
According to the American Automobile Association, the main culprits are rising crude oil costs and a slight increase in fuel demand.
Today’s price for a gallon of regular in Idaho is $3.91, which is three cents more than a
week ago but six cents less than a month ago. Meanwhile, the national average currently sits at $3.76 per gallon, which is 16 cents more than a week ago and 22 cents more than a month ago.
Idaho ranks 11th in the country for most expensive fuel.
Crude oil is currently trading near $81 per barrel, which is $2 more than a week ago and $10 more than a month ago.
Motorists in Coeur d’Alene are paying the highest average price for a gallon of gas in Idaho at $3.99, while Idaho Falls continues to have the state’s lowest average price at $3.79. Lewiston’s average price is $3.82 per gallon.
