Two Injured in Head-On Crash South of Moscow

UPDATE: The 21-year-old male from Clarkston driving the Honda Accord succumbed to his injuries at the local hospital on July 28, 2023. Next of kin has been notified. The incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

Idaho State Police responded to a critical injury crash that occurred this (Fri) morning at about 2:45 a.m. on US Highway 95 near Thorn Creek south of Moscow in Latah County.

A 35-year-old man from Harvard driving a Subaru Forester was traveling southbound on US95 while a 21-year-old man from Clarkston, was driving a Honda Accord northbound in the southbound lane and struck the Subaru head-on.

Both drivers were transported to a local hospital via ground ambulance. Seatbelt use is still being investigated. Traffic on US95 was blocked in the southbound lanes for about 2 hours to allow emergency responders to assist those involved and clear the scene.

Evidence was found on scene to indicate that alcohol may have been involved in this crash. This incident remains under investigation.
