The Asotin County Jail inmate who fled from TriState Health in Clarkston turned himself in late Monday night.
37-year-old Monte Clark is now back in custody.
Clark was reportedly found unconscious and unresponsive late Saturday afternoon and admitted to the hospital. Due to short staffing issues at the jail, it was agreed law enforcement would be notified if Clark became problematic or tried to leave.
Early in the morning, the Asotin County Sheriff’s Office was notified Clark had fled the hospital, and law enforcement searched the area throughout the night.
According to court documents, Clark was arrested July 20 for failing to appear on several drug-related charges, including possession of fentanyl, methamphetamine and cocaine with intent to deliver, unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of a stolen firearm.
