SPALDING, ID – A grass fire near the US 95/US 12 interchange was quickly contained late this morning by Lapwai Fire crews with the help of Nez Perce Tribal firefighters. The fire was reported at around 10:50 a.m. along US 95 at milepost 304.
Firefighters remained on scene for about an hour and there were no injuries to report, according to Lapwai Fire Chief William Skiles.
The Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office also responded to control traffic in the area.
