Man Arrested After Allegedly Running Over Another Man Several Times in Culdesac

CULDESAC, ID – A 59-year-old man has been arrested after he allegedly ran over another man in the 300 block of North Main Street in Culdesac on Friday. According to a press release from the Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched at around 2:41 p.m. for a report of a car running over a male multiple times and then leaving the scene.

“After investigating the scene and interviewing witnesses Detectives learned 59 year old Brian Grimm was the suspect. After an argument with Dranichak, Grimm used his vehicle as a weapon to strike the victim 3 times, one of those times trapping him underneath the vehicle. Grimm also caused extensive damage to two homes that were in the crime scene when he rammed into them,” officials say.

Grimm was located and arrested by deputies yesterday. He is being held in the Nez Perce County Adult Detention Center on a charge of First Degree Attempted Murder

The alleged victim, 61-year-old Michael Dranichak, was treated and later released at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center.

Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office Detectives were called to the scene to assist in the investigation.
