M’s Avoid Sweep with Win Over Tigers

A pair of solo homeruns by Cal Raleigh and Jarred Kelenic were the difference as the Seattle Mariners avoided being swept with a 2-0 shutout win over Detroit in the final game of their three-game series yesterday (Sun) in Seattle.

J.P. Crawford had three of the Mariners 6 total hits in the win.

On the mound Bryce Miller improved to 6-3, allowing no runs on 5 hits with 3 strikeouts over 5 innings.

The Mariners host Minnesota in four-game series beginning tonight (Mon) at T-Mobile Park.
